On the occasion of Teatro Praga’s 30th anniversary, the company decided to make a book that would transform the past into the future. With the performance Audição and the exhibition WOW as landmarks, this work presents itself as a mosaic-object, composed of imagined books, situated archives and dreamed narratives, extending Teatro Praga’s ongoing quest for a vocabulary and grammar for that which it does not yet know.

With contributions from artists and theorists who have been accomplices in its journey, the book proposes costumes and recipes, fictional biographies and interviews taken from books that never existed. Gradually, it becomes clear that the unprecedented, the imagined and what was left undone also take part in the construction of a trajectory.

Between document and invention, archive and desire, memory and speculation, this book neither fixes nor seeks to fix a history.
